SPECTOR CLUB COMIC SHOW
2/27/05

What a show today! The place was absolutely packed, and I must have said "Excuse me..." about 100 times!

I went wild on a TPB trek, and bought more of them than I really wanted to carry around. Eric Meyer, Jake Woltering, & Bob Bohler all offered prices I just couldn't refuse. Eric also sold me a Wolverine limited series set for $20! Thanks, guys! :D

The TPB Haul:

  • Bone Vol.1-3
  • Dreadstar Vol.1&2
  • Essential X-Men (Silver) Vol.1
  • Essential X-Men Vol.3
  • X-Men: Fall of the Mutants
  • Fables Vol.1-4
  • Walking Dead Vol.2

My surprise for the day was when I walked over to see Tim from Twilight Comics. He had e-mailed me a couple of days earlier to tell me he had a few DC Whitman Variants for me. What he didn't tell me however was that he had two of the So Much Fun Variants! I think I might have freaked out a little but when I saw them! Sorry if I was a little overzealous guys. The Whitmans were: Superboy & Losh #246, Super Friends #13, and Action Comics #481, 483, 486. The SMF issues were: Amazing Spider-Man #292 and Uncanny X-Men #221. Thanks for digging that stuff out for me! :D

I ended up hiding all my goodies underneath Troy Neely's table. Thanks Troy! I also purchased the chop-top copies Troy had of Superman #12 & 16. The purchase took about 2 hours of casual complaining before he finally came down to my price. Thanks again, Troy!
Here's pics of those books:
